Despite being a bit of a classic literature nerd, I have tried reading Dickens several times and I'm just not a fan.

I do however know A Christmas Carol extremely well. Because of the Muppets film.

... It's one of my top five favorite ever films.

If it helps, the Muppets one is actually a fairly faithful adaptation all things considered (it skips a particularly dark bit with the Ghost of Christmas Present and y’know, it’s Muppets but it’s still playing it surprisingly straight) so this is a very valid viewpoint on several levels even if you haven’t read the novella.
