Been there, anon, and it sucks.
It's no replacement, but I find a modicum of comfort in wearing very soft wraparound sweaters, far-too-long hot showers, and talking to my houseplants.

Yeah, I've always liked soft blankets and fabrics and such. I am living... in a rough condition now, hopefully not for long but, still, I don't have many of those so maybe my body IS missing that, too. (Also, unfortunately I've always been a great plant murderer sigh)
