Okay. So. Like. I mean… it sounds like you are a picky asshole based on how angry this made you. Usually the "asshole" part of pickiness is "not only do I not want this but I'm also gonna rage about it. Possibly even at *you* for having the gall to rec this."

Your reasons for being annoyed and picky about this are SO FAIR. This stuff is super pervasive, and while I can't say everyone is annoyed by it, I can at least say that *I'm* annoyed with you anon. There's nothing worse than getting hyped for a killer female character (or multiple! The dream!) Only for it to turn out to be a pile of horseshit. I've had the same experience multiple times, and at this point I wonder if my friends' attraction to these female characters is getting in the way of, like, their entire brains and eyes.

So, you know, not judging you OP. I'd be mad and frustrated, too.
