Still have a migraine. So mostly been resting today. Watched a few Supernatural episodes. Read some Not Always Right. Played some with my kitty and brushed her while she lay my lap and purred. Did laundry. Put some music on my new ipod.

Made an appointment to get my first covid shot tomorrow. Hopefully I have a mild reaction since I want to get my raised garden bed fixed up this weekend.

It's been a pretty good day. Someone I love who has depression has decided to reach out for help. They have meds, they are going to get counseling, and today they even talked to me and asked if I would be willing to do a couple of things regularly to help them out, which is great. I'm just... Overjoyed really. And relieved.

I've been keeping up my new year's resolution that's basically "do six hours of set activities a day" but man it's been hard this week and particularly hard today.
I've got an explanation on my journal but basically I'm experimenting with a very flexible version of my hight school timetable where I decide what "classes" I take every week and I wonder if it's time to give myself a holiday.

Eating popcorn. My dog: Can i have a piece of popcorn please. Me: You don't like popcorn, remember? My dog: But I want a piece. Me: Okay. But you won't like it. (I give my dog a piece of popcorn.) My dog: *smacks the piece of popcorn in her mouth, then spits it out. Picks it up again, chews it a few times, spits out multiple, smaller, slimier pieces of popcorn. Continues to repeat the process of chewing and spitting out the popcorn until it is nothing but slimy little chewed up bits that I now have clean up. My dog: Can i have another piece of popcorn.

Horrible. I feel... royally fucked.

I have been feeling ridiculously bad for the past year. I found a venting community online and I began to interact there, anonymously but I end up telling a lot about my personal life anyway because I don't think anyone would care enough anyway and I don't know many people IRL? Well that's what I thought. Just my luck, it seems that not only someone found out, those pathetic know-all young boys from my class did, and worse, they are being meddleaome about everything I revealed there but not actually saying "hey, is that you...?". I have never even talked to them because pandemic so we only have remote classes together but damn. That's bad luck. Maybe I should've expected it, but I keep forgetting the world is men's. I tell myself that it's everyone's so I don't commit suicide heh

lol I just found out I'm apparently a local legend.

Was just over at the park to fight Team Rocket and decided I'd do the tier 1 raid that popped up, because I still don't have a decent Tynamo, then someone else joined the lobby with me... then I hear someone calling out "Excuse me! Are you [username]?"

It was these two teenage girls, whose accounts had been in the gyms with me a lot for awhile since we're all Mystics, and they got all excited because "We see you in the gyms all the time but we didn't know who you were! omg! Our friend is going to be SO JEALOUS we actually met [username] and she wasn't here hahaha omg!"

I am incredibly amused because I am not anything impressive, except maybe in my determination to get coins from the gyms daily. But I gave them my friend code on a piece of paper so they could pass it along to their friend too if they wanted. It was ridiculously cute.

Between that and discussing kink dynamics about my OTP over on my journal earlier, doesn't entirely make up for the health problems and an exasperating work day, but these things definitely help.

Awful. I was going to try and hang in for a few more months but I just can't. I'm looking at flights now. I have to get away from my family asap.

I don't know where to go. My job is remote so I'll have that for a few months at least. After that I have no idea. I'm looking at Worldpackers or something like it. There's a large possibility I'll end up homeless but I cannot take this anymore.

A very good UK friend of mine has been mostly MIA since August of last year (having some very hard mental health issues re: COVID and lockdown and such).

I really miss them. I see them occasionally 'like' something on Twitter, so i know they're alive and such, just...i miss them.

Also, going on a trip out of state with Monstrous Bebe for her b-day (she and her boyfriend broke up, she's back home and trying hard not to be super-sad all the time). This was a trip they planned together, so now I'm going instead and I'm stressing. Travel (10 hours in the car), money I hadn't planned on spending, walking around a big city I don't know while doing masks and social distance......

ARGH.

Otherwise, the daffodils are in bloom and they are so pretty!

Meh. I know it could be worse.

I'm tired of being a loser who doesn't know how to get her own friends. I feel like I'm on everyone else's time and just can't get with the program, and my wants never sync up with anyone else's wants. And then I'm all by myself again, and of course, that's my fault. Maybe it's even what I wanted, to not be a burden on anyone, to not feel like they have to be at MY whims. So I don't even have the right to complain.

I'm trying to play some games on my own, but as soon as the segment stops, I just see everyone else playing with each other. And of course, I wasn't invited. Not that anyone has an obligation to invite me, I get that. But it just seems like everyone's always playing with each other and I'm just the asshole who hasn't gotten the hint and found my own group.

I can't even turn to fanworks because of course I've got writer's block or some equivalent of being stuck creatively. So much fucking noise I can't sort out. I just want to accomplish something, to have it be done and out there already. I'm tired of sitting on 20K word one-shot stories for well over a year (not to mention the 100K+ WIPs that are probably dead despite my best efforts). I'm tired. I'm just tired. Something good happen. A breakthrough. A conclusion that doesn't eat shit. Something.

Well, at least work is going better. For now anyway. Knock on wood.

I got my first Covid shot this morning, and so far the only side effects I'm experiencing are a low fever and some mild stiffness and soreness in the arm I got the injection in. Since being stiff and sore is a default state for me, I can't complain too much there, and I'm very glad I got it.

Shortly after I got home, however, my best friend texted me to tell me that she'd had to put her dog, Chuy Carlos to sleep. He was very old (at least 16) and he hadn't been doing well for a while, so it wasn't a shock or anything, but it goes without saying that losing a beloved pet is always painful regardless of their age. He was an utter sweetheart, and everyone who knew him is going to miss him dearly.

Speaking of wonderful animals that took pieces of their owners' hearts with them when they died, tomorrow is the 24th anniversary of the day I bought my horse, Sharif. I'm hoping to go and leave flowers and carrots on his grave if the weather clears up long enough.

But! I stopped on my way home and got doughnuts to share with my mum! I got a vanilla crème brûlée, raspberry crème brûlée, and oreo. And the weather is turning cooler, so pretty soon I'll be able to have hot baths at the end of days like this c:

I would use an anagram of my real name

And in fact have spent time coming up with anagrams of my name that could work as a pseudonym (I mostly use them for online usernames though)

Something dragon related. I use DragonofMordor for my fanfics, but obviously I couldn't use that if I actually published anything. If I ever wrote original fantasy and published it, I guess I could call myself Aurora Dragon. Always liked the name Aurora.

As for a book title, not sure honestly. It really would depend on what the story was. Just for kicks, lets make it a fantasy/scifi combo epic and call it Dawn of Worlds.

I have thought for awhile that I wanted to be a drag king and I was thinking my alter ego would be named Frank Neptune.

Health prevents me from doing drag performance after all, but I could totally make that work as a pen name, hahah.

I just found a fic for which the author included diagrams for (at least two) if the sexual positions to be used in the story. MF diagrams. Lmao.

Intro graphics describing other elements are things also included. I have not felt like 2007 quizilla in years. I should have known better from the tags. When the last time you should have seen what was coming from the tags/summary?
