Why do you feel so strongly about it, OP? Just curious here. I like a couple of Pink Floyd songs and like this one okay, but “Comfortably Numb” is a better song IMHO.

Eh, music is subjective and people are allowed to like what they like. I don't judge other people for their music tastes regardless of what it is unless it is all stuff with really sexist or racist words and nothing else and I also see evidence of it bleeding into their real life.

I think they could be cute. Clark/Lois is very much a never-break-them-up OTP for me. But this would be the second option for me if Lois ever died.

Snape/Lily has never been anything but creepy to me. He was creepy towards her even when they were friends.

I think it's because people seem to use the song as the most generic "screw school" teen angst anthem. While I have a weirdly emotional connection to the whole album and movie and Pink's multi-faceted trauma.

...Same kind of thing that made me vow never to do "Bohemian Rhapsody" at karaoke when I feel like singing Queen. DJs have confided to me that "I am so glad to see someone sing SOMETHING ELSE by Queen." :P And I'm not really sure how this song even managed to really get on the radio, catchy as it is, since it is "Part 2" and takes a lot of the context from the rest of the album. ...Really I couldn't choose a favorite from The Wall since they all go together to tell a story from beginning to end (and then to beginning again, heh).

I try not to be too snobby about these things though, and try to get people to branch out if they show an interest. Inadvertently got a guy I know to finally listen to the entirety of The Division Bell the other day, and he liked it more than he expected to! Personally right now I'm stuck on Meddle and Obscured By Clouds, so I keep posting YouTube links to Facebook and hoping for a bite. <3

My dad's getting his second vaccine dose tomorrow and my mom's getting her first one next week. It's been hard to get appointments around here, so I'm really glad.

I got my colonoscopy results today and I'm all good! They removed 2 polyps under 10mm in size and both were benign. I'm going out for a nice dinner tonight to celebrate.

What made you think so? I haven't seen the latest Wonder Woman movie, but aside from that I honestly hadn't noticed she's particularly bad. Not by Hollywood standards, anyway, where casting tends to prioritize looks over talent in leading roles.

It isn't, though! It's overwhelmingly common in English-language fic fandom descended from Trek slash, but other corners of fandom genuinely use X/Y for any character relationship or interaction, and it's always hella jarring crossing over from one sphere to another.

I think they're cute af. Sure, they take you out of the story for a second, but it's like three seconds of the movie—who cares?

I don't think there's anything "creepy" about being hung up on someone for years after they died. It's sad, and probably not the healthiest grief response, but it's not creepy.

Honestly, I don't really think being hung up on someone years after a break up is that creepy either. It's creepy if you engage in weird behavior to feel closer to them. But merely continuing to pine isn't creepy. Unhealthy, sure, but not creepy.

That said, I find Snape/Lily repulsive for other reasons.
