TW: animal abuse mentions

House and Bones because they stopped being good. I should have given up sooner for both of them, honestly because with House it took me a while to rewatch the good stuff and with Bones I haven't been able to rewatch at all because how awful it got completely ruined the show for me.

Supernatural because it stopped being good. I stopped early enough (season 7) that I still love the good seasons (1-5). I prefer to keep the show in my mind as the original plan and pretend it was never extended.

The Simpsons. Stopped being good and I stopped enjoying it. Occasionally I'll rewatch the early seasons, but honestly I don't even love that part as much as I used to.

Grey's Anatomy. Stopped being good. Also, all my favorite characters left (Christina, Callie, Arizona), and I couldn't stand some of the ones remaining (Alex, Jo, Jackson).

Game of Thrones. The awfulness of season 8 ruined the whole show for me.

Once Upon a Time. I was so into this show for a long time, mostly because I had the hots for Regina. But honestly I started to realize that it really wasn't a good show. So I stopped watching.

Animal Cops shows because I got a cat and stopped being able to watched injured and abused animals. My cat had an abusive previous home, so now if I see an abused animal on tv I'll automatically start thinking about my cat being abused. Can't do it.

I stopped watching The Simpsons around season seventeen. That episode where Lisa disguises herself as a boy to learn math was the one that made me think it wasn't funny anymore. For a while, I just watched the Treehouse of Horror episodes, but then those got boring too. I do watch the older episodes whenever I need cheering up, but the newer episodes just aren't for me.

They really should have quit years ago. The older episodes are amazing and still hold up.

We've been rewatching The Simpsons on weekend mornings on Disney+ and are in season 9 now. I hate to sound like such a nostalgia-driven 90s kid, but we're nearly at the point where the show started to go downhill for me the first time around. I get people all the time telling me "no, there's great episodes every now and again!" but I just can't be bothered to put the effort in if most of them are still displaying that the show should've died years ago.

the Simpsons. I used to love it but like I said recently there were way too many eps that weren't funny or made no sense at all. Or both.
Downton Abbey. That car accident.
I liked Elementary a lot until Holmes said "feminazi".
I don't remember the name of the show (this was a long time ago, like 12 to 15 years) but there was this murder mystery show involving a bunch of British lawyers that I really liked until the one young woman lawyer who absolutely loved her job had sex with this guy she wasn't in love with, got pregnant and decided to quit her job and marry him and raise the baby even though she didn't want to because it would make him happy, and the show presented this as somehow the correct thing to do. I felt like throwing a rock through the TV.
I won't watch any of the CSI eps after Warrick got killed off.

Well never going to check this show out now. Ugh.

the Lisa pretending to be a boy ep was not only not funny, it managed to be insulting to both genders.

I stopped watching Bones for similar reasons. I stuck it out for a while even when I found myself just being frustrated with it (and I ended up really disliking Angela after the wedding episode but I think she'd been grating on my nerves before that). Then finally Sweets died and I was like, "last character I still thought was bearable is gone, not watching anymore," basically.

OUaT, I stopped watching in whatever season (3?) the Peter Pan stuff was going on. It just. kept. dragging. and I lost interest in whatever everybody was doing and dropped it thinking I might go back later. But later came and I heard all the scuttlebutt about how it was going and just didn't want to have any hand in that.

GoT I think I got up to the first episode of the second season and went, "meh, I've read the books." Didn't even get up the desire to go back and watch once they went past the point where the books have left off. Considering all the drama about how it ended I don't think I missed much.
