I stopped watching The Simpsons around season seventeen. That episode where Lisa disguises herself as a boy to learn math was the one that made me think it wasn't funny anymore. For a while, I just watched the Treehouse of Horror episodes, but then those got boring too. I do watch the older episodes whenever I need cheering up, but the newer episodes just aren't for me.

They really should have quit years ago. The older episodes are amazing and still hold up.

We've been rewatching The Simpsons on weekend mornings on Disney+ and are in season 9 now. I hate to sound like such a nostalgia-driven 90s kid, but we're nearly at the point where the show started to go downhill for me the first time around. I get people all the time telling me "no, there's great episodes every now and again!" but I just can't be bothered to put the effort in if most of them are still displaying that the show should've died years ago.

the Simpsons. I used to love it but like I said recently there were way too many eps that weren't funny or made no sense at all. Or both.
Downton Abbey. That car accident.
I liked Elementary a lot until Holmes said "feminazi".
I don't remember the name of the show (this was a long time ago, like 12 to 15 years) but there was this murder mystery show involving a bunch of British lawyers that I really liked until the one young woman lawyer who absolutely loved her job had sex with this guy she wasn't in love with, got pregnant and decided to quit her job and marry him and raise the baby even though she didn't want to because it would make him happy, and the show presented this as somehow the correct thing to do. I felt like throwing a rock through the TV.
I won't watch any of the CSI eps after Warrick got killed off.

Well never going to check this show out now. Ugh.

the Lisa pretending to be a boy ep was not only not funny, it managed to be insulting to both genders.
