The therapy scenes are amazing.

Sorry that happened to you, OP (if that's what you mean).

(I am glad we are getting more of Bucky's thoughts though.)

Yeah, shit, non-consensual therapy sucks.

In my personal experience, I have to say it wasn't necessarily unwarranted or unhelpful, in the long run. But for balance, some of my friends have very different experiences (i.e. found it supremely unhelpful and/or damaging).

In general, I like the portrayal of therapy in the show so far. The therapist seems like she's offering pretty reasonable advice, with pure intentions, but it doesn't always align with what Bucky is willing or able to do at the moment.

Considering probably 90% of people would benefit from therapy being forced to go sucks because: you refuse to admit what's wrong with you; when they tell you what's wrong with you but that's not what's wrong with you; when they force you to see a particular therapist even if they're not good or not clicking.

But theoretically there is absolutely nothing wrong with being forced to go to therapy. The people who need it the most are often the ones who refuse the hardest to go.

The therapy scenes are some of my absolute favorites.

It's also the one part where I side with the government, because they really do need to be sure Bucky's not about to snap and serial kill his way up the eastern seaboard. I hope his therapist isn't secretly a super villain or anything, I really like her the most as an actually trustworthy person trying to help him as best she can.

Is it ideal? No. But realistically if he wanted to Bucky could go to ground and hide out as the saddest little hobo in another Eastern European country at the drop of a hat, so I'm hoping he's at least partially on board.

I like the scenes because there is a sort of low level sense of he IS gradually doing the homework and working towards things. but he's not in a straight path line, and I think that's a more realistic outlook.

Like, he engaged in that second episode with the task. So while resistant and resentful, he IS gaining something
