Anne of Green Gables taught me it was okay to be different and to enjoy reading and be smart and not fit in as a girl.

Star Wars and Harry Potter were my early fandoms and gave me a safe space during difficult times.

Legend of The Seeker was probably the first fandom where finally I started to admit to myself my bisexuality.

Tolkien gave me a sense of hope and helped me a lot with my depression. And the fandom helped me a lot too with motivation, with feeling better about myself, just finding a place I fit in and felt at home in.
