ehhhh...there is a high overlap in anything that has a group that considers themselves found family and also uses the word nakama, but by itself the term isn't an indicator. "Nakama" in Japanese can be used for any group of people who consider themselves participating in something together - coworkers, frequently, as well as teammates, fellow members of the same army, allies, ship crews, etc. The Western Army fighting at Sekigahara, Soul Society squad members, Sailor Scouts, all have used the term and I wouldn't call any or all of them necessarily found family hands down no nuance.

still, high overlap, so hearing it/reading it might be a first clue.

Thanks for copypasting urbandictionary, but that wasn't entirely a serious comment. Goes to show you just can't get away from 'um, ackshually'...

Fandom has ruined "found family" by seriously applying it to every group of close friends, so I don't blame AYRT for thinking you were being serious too.

Scare quotes too subtle the first time, here: ~*NAKAMA*~

Specifically with Bleach, it's crazy to say that none of the Gotei 13 qualified for this trope.
