Taxes
I just found out I can't file mine for free online because I receive alimony. I'm not happy with this information.
Re: Taxes
(Anonymous) 2021-04-09 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)Fortunately I can do it free online, I just want a feature where I can go in and switch the amount numbers as nothing else has changed. Stop asking me to confirm shit and go through all these screens. Aieee.

(Anonymous) 2021-04-09 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)On a whim a few years ago I tried CreditKarma's tax filing service and they gave me a refund rather than needing to pay, which I didn't get when I had done it on paper... turned out that they correctly determined I didn't have to pay a fine for not having medical insurance because I was too poor to afford it in my state on my income, and there was also something about having a IRA through my employer. After double-checking that this was accurate, I decided I'd use them from now on, since otherwise I would've had to pay $50 in federal taxes and instead I was getting a $200 refund. Maybe they'll catch something else fun.
Re: Taxes
(Anonymous) 2021-04-09 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)The federal tax due date has been extended to May 17 this year.
(Anonymous) 2021-04-09 10:48 pm (UTC)(link)I did do mine earlier this week, both have been accepted. I have neither been debited by the amount I owe (federal), nor had deposited the amount I'm due (state).
