This show just keeps getting better with each episode, and I'm praying they don't drop the ball in the next or last episode.

I usually don't care for cameos but these ones seem relevant and I love how they're exploring how the world worked both during and immediately after the snap/blip/whatever they're calling it. I also love how they're exploring Bucky's issues and also Sam's issues but not letting either overwhelm the show. Zemo has proven unexpectedly amusing, and I enjoyed seeing Sharon shine in the third episode and am glad she wasn't just shoved off somewhere (or I hope she isn't).

Fuck, I don't even hate John Walker, I find him interesting. A bit unstable and scary sometimes, but still interesting. I kind of worry they painted him as "let's hate this fucker because he soiled the shield" a little too early and that came to pass (so everyone could say "aha!"), instead of him having his own issues but genuinely wanting to do a good job but then fucking up anyway. On the other hand... having issues is no excuse for being such a prick. (Well, damn, that's a secret in itself, and he's not even my fave.)

Anyway, I keep squeeing at this show and am sad it's only 6 episodes. Loved the Wakandan flashback and cameos this episode, and was stunned how low Karli was willing to stoop! Now that Walker has the serum, I'm guessing he'll become a bigger prick and some alliances will be forged against him. (I haven't read the comics so I've no idea.)

Should I watch this? I haven't seen all the marvel movies (I think I missed the last couple?) but I have been seeing a lot of good things about this on my TL.

I think required watching would include the Captain America movies, Black Panther, Infinity War and Endgame (folks, correct me if I'm missing something). Not sure of the TV shows. (Maybe you could also watch Spider-Man: Far from Home for a glimpse of life after the blip but I don't think it's required.)

I went in without any expectations, but I'm really enjoying it because I just wanted to watch that particular duo.

AYRT Thank you! I think the only stuff I haven't seen is Infinity War and Endgame (and any of the other TV shows).

Honestly a bit taken aback about how explicit that last scene was for Disney's very own platform but it was effective. Can't help feel that most people wouldn't be Steve and that's how being Captain America (or any individual of such status) would behave in real life given the right temptation or lack of control. It was definitely an obvious/deliberate route to go down but that final shot's the right amount of shock when you're used to the original symbolism surrounding Cap.

I was never a huge fan of Bucky in the MCU because I felt like he was given virtually nothing to do, but I'm really happy the show is giving Sebastian Stan the opportunity to do more than just scowl in the background. Sam too is getting some pretty good character development beyond being "Cap's pal" so that's nice.
