Candlelight supper:

rosemary and onion crackers with cheese
creamy roasted red pepper soup garnished with fried shallots
braised leg of lamb in garlic and red wine
mashed potatoes
roasted brussel sprouts
profiteroles: honey, chocolate and caramel
homemade vanilla ice cream


Waterside picnic:

toast points and smoked salmon mousse with dill
sandwich selection of egg and cress, prawn, roast beef and sharp cheddar
miniature basil/tomato tarts
rhubarb custard cake
raspberry fool

There was this pizza joint in Dallas called Brother's and yeah, just a slice from there back before they changed the recipe is my idea of peak romance.

Just a clarification - this isn't about romance, necessarily. Just a fancy dinner that you can enjoy in your imagination without having to cook it yourself.

god, those all sound amazing apart from the last two (I am not a big fan of rhubarb or raspberry)

Candlelight supper:
-Baked brie tartlets
-Pumpkin soup
-Vegetarian lasagna
-Garlic bread
-Roasted brussel sprouts as well tbh, can't go wrong with those.
-Cake flight: Lavender vanilla sponge, basque burnt cheesecake, and a rich chocolate torte.

Waterside picnic:
-Cheese plate with a baguette and some grapes
-Sandwich selection: Egg, cucumber, cheese
-Homemade pickles
-Scones with clotted cream and lemon curd, perhaps a seasonal homemade fruit preserve
-Shortbread
