Yes, that exactly! All we know about that relationship is that their father staunchly disapproved of their going to Eorzea to "meddle", and boy howdy have they meddled. Plus how much closer they were to their grandfather... which speaks volumes. I'm so excited.

I could fill out another secret entirely about Alphinaud's reaction to Dulia Chai telling him how much she loves him, because I'm not actually sure how much he's ever been told that? By anyone really, much less a parental figure.
