I know exactly what you mean because I'm going through a similar thing right now with Tiger & Bunny. It started airing just about the same time my health problems ticked up, and as I got further into the series, my health was getting worse and worse, and I couldn't even watch more than 30 seconds at a time of the last two episodes because by that time I was having days-long panic attacks more often than I wasn't, and anything remotely emotional made it worse. I want to rewatch the whole thing now that season 2 is imminent and the panic attacks at least are all but gone, but as the episodes creep by, it's like my body remembers what it was doing the first time I watched them. -_-

It suuuuucks because I loved the series, much like you seem to love FB, but emotional association is a heck of a thing. :/ I wish I had some advice to offer, but haven't figured it out myself.

2022, at least that's what they're aiming for. They just had a 10th anniversary special that aired weekend before last, where they showed a bunch of promotional stuff they're doing to lead up to it, unveiled some new costume designs, brought back some of the VAs. It was hosted by the guy who voices Mario, in character, so that was fun. ;)

AYRT - Cool, thank you!

If you still really want to watch it maybe you could ease into it by having it play in the background while you’re doing something else, like housework or a project? So you can absorb it in pieces and pre-associate it with what you’re doing at that time.

Nah I know the feeling. There's a number of series I can't rewatch because they evoke clear memories and feelings - of periods in time that I either feel strong nostalgia for or wouldn't want to remember in fifty years. Sometimes I cry or shiver when listening to certain theme songs, it's that bad. Sorry you can't rewatch it now but at least in my experience it can get tolerable in the future.
