The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were HUGE when I was in middle school, and they have never ever stopped being cool for a second, so there.

Semi-related, I heard some kids talking in the street outside my house the other day while they were riding scooters along.

Kid 1: You know all the bad guys used to ride skateboards in 80s movies?
Kid 2: Really? ...Why?
Kid 1: I dunno. Skateboards were just a tough guy thing I guess.
Kid 2: Oh. Weird.

...These kids were like 10 at most, I have no idea what 80s movies Kid 1 had been watching...

Oooh I just remembered something that was cool when I was a kid and now looks silly. Really huge teased out hair and bangs. I let people do that to me a couple times and even then I thought I looked bizarre.
