Being able to play a fun mobile game for hours while on the bus or whatever instead of having to choose between taking a gameboy or playing snake.
Watching Youtube on a smart TV instead of watching cable TV during dinner.

But if we're talking conventions as in "they COULD have done if before, but they DIDN'T" ... idk.
