Re: Tumblr tags
The new post editor is just the mobile version of post editor for the desktop. It doesn't differentiate between different types of posts anymore (picture, text, video, etc) but you'll still be able to post those different media formats.
Re: Tumblr tags
But my problem is, posts with no tags at all...are impossible to block. And I just don't get the no-tag thing, unless suddenly it's not cool to tag things on Tumblr anymore. But i really don't want to look at dozens of posts for tv shows I don't follow or whatever, and have no real clue how to block them if there are no tags to use. Annoying.
Re: Tumblr tags
(Anonymous) 2021-04-18 04:30 am (UTC)(link)However, tumblr's new nifty blocking feature will let you block a specific word or phrase in a post and it's not dependent on the tags. It's an actual content tag. So if you're sick of hearing about Tiger & Bunny, you can go to settings and put "tiger & bunny" in the content filter and it will get rid of any post with that phrase in the text or in the tags. If you don't put it in quotes though, you'll also filter out all posts that mention tigers and bunnies.
It's not perfect, but it's got perks. Like, I can put the name of that one user whose fanart always gets reblogged and I hate it into the content filter and boom! no more cringy fanart!
Re: Tumblr tags
I do everything on my PC or laptop, so the vagaries and drawbacks of the mobile app are not familiar to me. But they always seem to be legion.
Thanks for the info!
