It really depends for me? I guess the problem with the default names is that I start to think of them as set characters, rather than as the player character in an RPG, so if someone else's Marion doesn't act like MY Marion, it throws me - and then it annoys me, like "You've got her out of character! ...wait, shit"
I gave all my Wardens original names, so I don't get stressed about someone's 'Kallian Tabris' hooking up with Alistair, when my 'Shifra Tabris' is a huge lesbian.
