If the fantasy Underground Railroad equivalent is actually what you're trying to write about and not just an example, you probably want to come up with similar coded language about smuggling and safehouses and not focus so much on the railway part, since the important bit was the "getting slaves to freedom" part.

Coming up with my own code is hard though. Stations, conductors, agents, baggage, parcels - it's so interesting to read about, and so intimidating to try and reinvent :c
