Takeout turkey bacon sandwich tonight for dinner.

I only had very mild side effects from my second vaccine shot and that's made me paranoid about effectiveness. Sigh, pandemic.

I guess that's more for a 'what's worrying you' prompt, but here we are.

I feel you. I had 0 when I took mine. I still think I didn't take it, but what am I gonna do.

A majority have mild or no side effects. More seniors have been vaccinated everywhere, they rarely have side effects, and the cases have gone way down among seniors in those areas. Don't worry, it's fine!

Had a splitting headache all day. Managed to get through a work meeting and got a bunch of new work, so that's good. Also ran some errands. Other than that, I took a nap. Now I'm just reading things on my computer with ear plugs in while my dad practices piano. Plan on going bed right after dinner.

Found out that my dad is going to have to be up at the new house with me to direct the movers while I watch the cat. Mom tried to convince me to let him ride with me in my car. But there is no way I can do a five hour drive with him. Way too stressful for me, and therefore too stressful for the cat as well and also a major accident risk. They're going to have to find another solution.

riding in the car with your father is an accident risk?

He's scared of driving, especially of highways. He panics and will yell or make panic noises whenever he is startled by anything. My mother is used to it and can drive fine in spite of that. I am not used to it and am liable to get in an accident when I'm startled by his noises.

Given today's work ridiculousness I feel like I should not only be getting full-time pay and benefits instead of part-time and no benefits, but probably something in the managerial grade. (I am the equivalent of the college's CMS; I do not decide what goes on the website, nor do I decide *who decides* what goes on the website, I simply take the content that people with actual autonomy give me to put on the website and do so in an efficient and aesthetic and accessible way, siiiigh.)

But while waiting on people getting back to me about the ridiculousness, I think I edited the 2001ish fic I was editing enough that it's not entirely embarassing as a follow up to a 2021 fic. And felt okay enough after work that I went out for Pokemon Go raid hour for a change.

It was supposed to storm all but hasn't. I am so disappointed.

Hulu turning itself off literally once a minute is driving me batshit.

I've realized I'm transgender. I'm scared as hell. Being in my early 30s, I'm full of so much shame I didn't realize it sooner and I'm worried people won't take me seriously.

Kind of depressed over the fact that people keep asking me if I have children and/or am married. It burns doubly so when I get asked about those two personal details before they even bother to learn my name first. I was never asked either of these two questions in my 20's but now freshly in my 30's they're quickly becoming the most commonly asked questions from strangers.

Unrelated but today at work a customer got angry with me over 'my attitude'... but then fifteen minutes later he walks up to me and apologizes. I've developed something of a habit of growing even quieter whenever someone gets mad (and a lot of people are understandably upset these days, what with COVID regulations and all the other drama that comes with 2021) and it's been having this interesting effect on people where I think it trips them out because they're expecting me to fight back or something? But then I don't nor do I offer any words at all? Total silence is apparently disarming for customers. Go figure.

I’ve been going to an acupuncturist for ten years now, but I haven’t gone in over a year because I have to take public transit to get there and I didn’t feel safe doing that while unvaccinated. Today is 2 weeks since my second shot, and I can finally start going again. Today is also the day my acupuncturist’s cat, whom I absolutely adored, died. She would cuddle with me during appointments. I knew she was old, but I thought maybe, just maybe, she’d be there when I got back. I missed her by that much. It’s not the same as when my own cat died but I knew her for so long and I love her.

Oh no, I'm so sorry. That's awful. I'm sorry for you and your acupuncturist. I'm glad that kitty was loved while she was here.
