I think it's funny when people complain that My Favorite Murder is sloppy, not put-together, not researched. I think there was a secret a little bit ago comparing it to Murder Squad and saying they were surprised it was produced by the same people for that reason.

This is the image that Karen and Georgia have cultivated. They're supposed to sound like your "besties" just chilling on the couch with you, talking about true crime in a casual way. Maybe it started out like that for real but both of them had other podcasts at the time and knowledge of/connections in the TV industry. they quickly found a niche and learned how to capitalize on it. They have a premium membership tier. They started a production company. They got a book deal out of it.

They know exactly what they're doing and it makes perfect sense that they would produce other podcasts that fill other niches. Also, don't underestimate Steven.
