The concept and trope, I understand and agree with. Portraying a character as being dark and romantic yet with no people skills as being attractive rather than awkward or creepy is not great.

On the other hand, I don't think Bucky was an example of that in the show. Yeah he got up and left their date, but I don't think him looking at them was weird. He was thinking about that experience, and moving on. He didn't obsess. He didn't stalk. I don't see how that's creepy.
