Maybe? In which case, why do they care so much about Bucky.

Now I want to read this supposed article someone else in comments mentioned.....

I've seen a couple of people who were like "Who cares about Bucky, this is SAM'S SHOW." And, I get it, Sam had almost no backstory while Bucky almost has too much, but it was billed/advertised/written as a buddy show so fans with that POV are probably primed to see flaws in Bucky's story. If OP is working off of an account from such a fan it probably colored their perspective.

Probably so.
I love Sam, and I'm so very glad he got to headline, and get more story, and really move forward.

But like I'm a Dean girl, I'm a Bucky girl, so.... :D

Me too. Honestly, I usually love tormented characters. Either I relate to them, sometimes I want them, or sometimes I want to wrap them in blankets and protect them from the world. Sometimes all three, in the case of Bucky and also Steve. Sam is awesome. Honestly my ideal at this point is a threesome where Sam takes care of the other two.

I love a threesome, but I like it when Sam is firm about *not* being the caretaker. He deserves to just have some good times with his boys - they need outside therapy (so much therapy).

Just IMO, obviously.

Oh, true. I don't want him to be their therapist. I just want him to be dominant so Bucky can learn to trust someone actually trustworthy and Steve just doesn't have to be the one making the decisions all the time.
