I love 8th Audio plays. They're not that bad when talking to other characters!

I've never really watched Doctor Who, but now I'm curious! Any Recs on the books and comics OP?

Not OP, but my favourite DW books are Earthworld and Unnatural History. I don't know how well they'd work sans context though

I prefer the comics & books too - but mostly because I struggle to pay attention to the audio; I either end up falling asleep or lose focus and suddenly miss out on about 10 minutes of story line (think the only times I've been able to follow audio stories have been on a car ride with a friend driving listening to Hitch Hikkers Guide to the Galaxy, and when my neighbor was looking after a dog that just didn't stop barking and I managed to block him out by listening to the entire radio series in one sitting).

I have this problem with audio stuff too. What works for me is to do something strongly visual/physical while listening; online jigsaw puzzles are great, f'rinstance.

Yep! Driving, cooking, doing chores, and riding my bike are when I get all my audio listening in. If I did puzzles or colouring books, that would be a great time to do it too.

If I'm not doing something like that, I just space out and end up needing to listen to the same thirty seconds ten times over before it sinks in.

I like some of the books, but I'm not a big fan of the comics. I like the Big Finish audios, but sometimes I have a hard time telling the voices apart. There was one I listened to recently that had three Doctors in them and I had a heck of a time telling them apart, which was really strange because they don't sound alike at all.
