OP, I've read published books, usually comic PNR, where spaying and neutering does come up for characters. Like one where a woman finds her werewolf mate in the pound.

So yeah... it does happen in fiction, but probably not the fiction you've been reading.

This and the facts that someone supposedly wrote this with their dick that military-dressing men are saluting a military-dressing man with a feline creature on his shoulder automatically make me wanna read it. No idea about the plot.

I've read one fic where a transformed character got neutered. He was quite worried about whether or not he'd get them back when he got turned back.
