Re: Secrets you don't want to make...

I think Loki is a guy who tried to commit genocide in the first movie. There's a lot of inextricable blackness to his character.

And I thought at the time (*still* think, honestly) that it was likely he was under some kind of coercion from Thanos

- The physical debilitation he had coming out of the rift (he actually staggers at one point
- The blue eyes when in the Thor movie they were vividly green
- The frothing-at-the-mouth party line he sells about the freedom from being free, is a hell of a change from his Thor movie demeanor
- The final battle, set in a small location where *coincidentally* all the Earth's Mightiest Heroes manage to be there and there's a way to make the invaders just drop dead... seems a little similar to Selvig working for Loki while still double-thinking himself into building in a kill-switch to the device he was making.

It doesn't make Loki less of a genocidal twat. But it *does* add interesting nuance to how he interacts with some of his former victims, if that ever happens.

Nuance is something I enjoy.

The "but his eyes were blue in Avengers" argument is so ridiculous. The only time Loki's eyes were vividly green was in promo posters, which were all heavily saturated with the characters' signature colors.

In the actual movie, Loki's eyes looked like this: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D2x-FevVYAAJDSn.jpg

And this: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DupYHytX4AEZm18.jpg

That's not vividly green, that's the actor's natural blue eyes reflecting hints of the green in his costuming. That's the same color his eyes are in Avengers, and in every subsequent movie.

Thank you anon. The blue/green eye thing ALWAYS pisses me off. I’m a Loki fan but I just wish that shitty fanon would die already. The only time MCU Loki had actually green eyes was in a poster and the blue of his eyes in Avengers doesn’t look like e.g Hawkeye.

I agree with the anon you were replying to that Loki obviously wasn’t well when he arrived through the rift, and the sceptre was influencing him in some way, but I don’t think he was controlled the way he controlled everyone in that film.
