The Hobbit. They messed it up imo. I want a better version.

Agreed.

Sadly, I agree. I'd like to see them take as much time and care with setting, props and wardrobe as they did for LOTR, if not more. But I'd also like to see different creative decisions made, too.

Yes all of this. I want as much love and attention as LOTR got without them trying to make it LOTR. I also want a version with more location filming and less green screen.

I completely agree. The Hobbit movies had more CGI and it lost a lot of the beauty and charm of the LOTR trilogy, IMO. Despite the more advanced technology, everything looked less real to me, if that makes any sense? It was disappointing.

Also that thing they did to Orlando Bloom's face was just weird.

It absolutely does make sense. I was just blown away by how much more fakey and not-real the Hobbit looked compared to LOTR, considering it was made by basically the same people a decade later.

+1

I'm still heartbroken we'll never get to see Guillermo del Toro's version. (From what I've read, he and PJ agreed on the casting for the main characters, which is pretty much the only thing that was good about the trilogy. Well that and the music. Can't imagine GdT wouldn't have kept Howard Shore.)
