Is Hamlet at least 26-27? This makes me so excited now.

In the graveyard scene (the setting for “alas poor Yorick”), the gravedigger says that the skull Hamlet found belonged to Yorick, who died 23 years previously. Hamlet then comments on how he remembers Yorick, making him probably at least 3 when he died.

My tentative headcanon is that the Yorick who died 23 years ago had a son also named Yorick who was actually the one Hamlet remembered, but there’s nothing to hint at that being the case.
