What is everyone doing this weekend?

I'll be playing some video games and reading. Also, despairing my wet basement since I've yet to find someone to grade my yard and it will be raining all next week. :(

Grade your yard? Is that a step towards getting some sort of "my yard is draining into my basement" problem fixed? What games and what are you reading?

I will be... working probably and working on levelling up my DnD character. They're multiclassing into Bard! There's probably going to be rock music puns because they literally are a living person made out of red spinel.

Yeah, grading your yard essentially means moving the dirt so that it drains away from your house. There is an area in my side yard where the yard is lower closest to my house so the water sits instead of moving away. When it sits, it just goes down near the foundation which leaks into the basement.

That sounds fun! I've only played DnD a couple times but I loved it. What race are they?

Ahh. Good luck, that sounds like some serious landscaping.

They're a homebrew Houseki no Kuni/Land of the Lustrous style gem! Which means, in this case, that almost their entire body is composed of the gem spinel.
Early one one of the other players failed an intelligence roll and called my character a golem, and I botched on a "know what a golem is" roll so now they think golem is the local word for "gem".

Moooore dragons in Pokemon Go. May mostly ignore Community Day because I already have a ton of shiny Swablu, and it's my birthday, and... apparently to celebrate I'm going to spend the day with my dad tearing down the broken shed in my back yard. Sigh. Normally I'm at ACen on my birthday weekend, and on my actual birthday I try to do a cosplay shoot whether or not I'm actually at a con, but this year I have nothing to look forward to and am going to exhaust myself doing things that are not fun and not feel like putting on makeup. :P

I have one shiny Swablu that I have yet to evolve. Hoping for a better one this weekend.

At least all that work will result in a better looking (and slightly bigger) backyard!

Yeah, we went to put some stuff in it after he came over to mow a couple weeks ago and... oh. That's new this spring. Roof has collapsed inside. :P It was in sort of bad shape already when I moved in ten years ago but now it's irredeemable. I suspect he's going to insist on getting me a kit for a new one that'll fit on the concrete base out there, which would be nice I guess. So many things need doing around here. >_<

And heh, I got a couple shinies right about the time I hit 400 candies so I evolved a shiny and still haven't evolved a regular one. Now I have a hundo so I should probably evolve that and get the special move and ... *shrug* I guess it's nice I'm not missing anything too exciting.

Parents are heading to the closing of our new house in Dallas, so I have the weekend and half of next week to myself.

Saturday is a work day since I have an office meeting at 3 and need to prepare for that.

Sunday I'll either read something or watch Anne of Green Gables.

And I'll get some packing done.

Do you have a ton to pack? I hate packing so much.

I have quite a bit left. Ultimately I have to have everything in my room and bathroom either in boxes or in the suitcases I'll have in my car when I drive to Dallas.

Its a quiet weekend for me because I got my second Pfizer shot today. I experienced mild side effects with the first dose, so I'm just going to chill at home in my pjs, hit up doordash and maybe have a Star Wars or MST3K marathon.

I hope you don't feel too terrible after this one! Have fun relaxing.

I work tomorrow and then Sunday I need to either get my taxes done or file an extension, and I might go on a walk with my aunt somewhere. Hopefully I'll get some gardening in.

I normally get a burst of energy and get stuff done for a few days when my period is about to end and just over, and instead that energy is going to anxiety attacks and depressive fugues, so I'll probably do the tax extension. Stupid brain.

I hope you can get them done (now or later)! I did mine early and then had to amend them. -_-

Right now... Honestly I'm feeling like crap lately, but particularly today, so I am planning on having more relaxing meds, and try to relax for 3 weeks, and then it will be my break and I'll do everything that I have to HOPEFULLY OTL

I despair over an occasionally wet basement, too, and I think I not only could use re-grading, but I probably need to get the drain tile around the foundation replaced.

It is already Saturday morning as I didn't reply last night and so far I have gone to a yoga class, a salon appointment, early lunch at a fave outdoor cafe I haven't been to since last fall, and a long walk by the lake. Now i need to do some cleaning and then shower. Sunday I need to make my lunches for the week and that's it!

Oh yeah, getting permanent drains are next if re-grading doesn't work. We had a basement wall that was bulging in. Had to spend $4200 to get that fixed. So now we want to get the walls redone but have to wait until we get the outside done.

That is a busy Saturday. My sister and I just spent 3 hours planning our (hopefully) trip to DC in October.
