That's a really cute way of dealing with that feeling anon.

I don't mean cute to be in any way derogatory. I just couldn't think of the right word. I've eaten alone or sat waiting for someone alone in a pub a couple of times and didn't like it so I know how you feel. This sounds like a great way to trick your brain into not being as bothered.

I can cope being at the cinema alone and I run or walk alone but eating/drinking alone in public is just a different level of more uncomfortable for me.
