I feel you. Good Jewish grandfathers can be hard to find. One of mine died relatively young basically from working to death, and the other ran off with the shiksa next door before my mother was old enough to remember him. My one consolation is that I'm getting to see my dad be a Jewish grandfather to my nephews and he is so loving.

I bet the channels that are showing procedural are all just showing the same reruns of Law and Order and have no need of the hassle or expense of making a new thing.

Like, we'll probably never get another work-place sitcom because people can just re-watch the Office for the rest of forever.

I miss Cold Case. :(
Sure, the cases weren't as good in the later seasons - mostly because of budget reasons - but no other show has ever touched its place in my heart.

To a lesser extend I also miss Without a Trace. It was so nice that sometimes those stories had a good end, you know?

Nope. Procedural stories are boring trash and I'm glad they've fallen out of favor. If you want everything to be the same forever go watch some sitcoms.

I like procedural shows, too, but learning about how detectives and forensics really works (and seeing all the 'character a breaks the law and does stupid/violent/gross things to solve crime with no repercussions) kinda made them more 'meh' for me.

Plus, always too much drama-llama and romance stuff on top of and sometimes *instead of* the actual crime solving part.

I don't care too much about police procedurals in particular, but I do wish more shows would have stand-alone episodes again. Obviously character development etc would carry over, no need for a big reset button every ep, but a plot that starts and ends within the same ep would be nice.

I like serialization, but it does make re-watching stuff difficult. Fandom is different too, since people often hold off on writing fic until the big arc is over.

(Negl Irulan is the biggest reason why I want them to get a sequel really badly. I love her and want her and Paul to interact to give me shipping fuel, even though I ofc know he'll never love her... mini secret: I do love my canon, but I wouldn't mind making them friends ya know?)

I know I'm months late from everyone but I'm currently trying to complete a successful Hades run. +40 escape attempts and plenty of powerups unlocked but I still get killed around the Elysium/Hades fight areas. Has anyone found any good builds?
