Agree. Also have alot of 'meh' feels over how they handled the breaking up of the novel into the three movies considering it made the journey feel severely disjointed.

Always thought it was a waste they didn't pull in more wolrd-building bits from his other books to help flesh things out to help keep things moving considering how much walking is done to get to the Lonely Mountain.

Probably because she's made it clear so many times over the years now she felt about Fitz/Fool so most fans who would be the ones to be annoyed won't be surprised.

And I know only a handful of fans of her previous works but most of them lost all interest in Fitz books because they're tired and bored of his recycled character development so they never picked up the new series.

I haven't watched this show in a while but omg, I haaaated these two. Sad to know they apparently never got any better.

I still enjoy the first one, as I find it to be an enjoyable fantasy+adventure movie. But even with that this trilogy really didn't hold up to LoTR, which is a shame, but I'm also at the point where I'm over being super disappointed in it and just take what I like of the movies and ignore the rest.

After all the great work done to keep the hobbits to scale in LotR, it will never fail to annoy me that Bilbo's just the same height as all the dwarves in these movies. Hobbits are smaller than dwarves, damn it!

I really like the first movie, but yeah after that it really goes down the drain with how badly they wanted to recreate Lord of the Rings when they really didn't need to.

That being said, my one take from the latter two movies was my Thorin/Bilbo angst fuel so that's my upside (also still like the theme songs 'I see Fire' and 'The Last Goodbye')
