Okay, so, I've only been to New York a handful of times. But I do have a couple of favorite things that are decently near Grand Central Station I believe. The Morgan Library and Museum is great. It is both a museum and a research library, and they usually have really interesting, varied exhibits.

The Transit Museum was something both my dad and I loved, but it is currently closed. If it is open again when you go, it would be worth checking out if you are at all interested in history.

I love the Zoo, but that's a little further than MoMa, so it depends on how far you want to go.
