Ooooooof. I haven't seen that scene since it aired and damn. Yeah. It was shocking. I'd been really shipping Lucy/Carter(?) until then so was extra blown away. ER was so good.

This was ER at it's peak imho, and that storyline stuck with me for years. Watched it again recently as well (the whole series), and that scene was definitely still shocking.

Aldi is so great, I wish they were around where I live. They are the kind of high efficiency, low-fucks-given, grocery store we need more of.

Also I like knowing Patton Oswald does his own grocery shopping. I know he's not like Madonna levels of fame and disconnection with the real world, but it's still neat to know. This and the fact that he did a bunch of episodes with the HP Lovecraft Literary Podcast make me like him so much more.

To me he sounds a lot like Jeff Nimoy, the english VA for Nicholas D. Wolfwood from Trigun. Not doing his Wolfwood voice but in a similarly weird cadence, super exaggerated.

I actually really grew to dig his voice but I disliked it initially
