I mean... nearly every Japanese RPG I've ever played? Story usually hooks me, even if sometimes the gameplay doesn't. Not sure what else to say. They're just interesting and moving, and sometimes make me look at life differently.

Same. It's very rare for me to NOT play through an RPG more than once because of the story. It's like reading a book only once, which also doesn't happen with me. ;)

Though sometimes it's not the plot, because it's full of holes and focuses on the stuff that's the least interesting of everything going on in the world I'm exploring, but the characters and their interactions are great, but that in itself tells stories.

Yeah. This. If only because there's a New Game+ option and then I go "well why not".

Else I ain't one for replaying but I did play FFVII a number of times.
