I'm willing to attribute at least part of the problem with the kids to be due the script and/or directing. I only say that because both Omri Katz and Thora Birch were better in previous roles (in Eerie, Indiana and Patriot Games, respectively), so I feel like something else was going on there. I think Vinessa Shaw was okay, but I don't believe I've watched anything she's been in since. Sean Murray did get better at acting.

Anyway, I think a story with Max, Dani, and/or Allison in cameo roles as parents whose kids get caught up with the Sandersons this time would actually work. I'm not entirely sure how Binx would fit, but I wouldn't mind him showing up as a cat again somehow.

That aside, if it has Billy, I'll be happy.
