Holy shit. Holy shit you don't think being locked away in a tower, never allowed to interact with anyone and torn down while being scared away from the outside world with lies just so they never leave so you can leave them isn't abuse. Holy shit.

Rapunzel didn't complain about anything because she didn't know any better. You're arguing I wasn't abused because I thought what was happening to me, the emotional tear-downs, literally being called worthless at times and shit, Wasn't abuse because I felt I deserved it and thought it normal.

Who are you so you can lose your fucking license, because you're undoubtedly harming your patients with your attitude.

Backtracking just so I make my own interpretation clear. To me there's worse things than not going outside much (I recall she did sunbathe? She wasn't merely locked in) and I was saying I liked how the movie focused on her character not as a victim of her upbringing and nothing other than a shell. Which naturally would be harder if she was locked up and Gothel just barely fed her like in the original tale.

So, again, because I've been there this bittersweetness was refreshing to me. Over.

And don't worry, I employ my studies in more effective ways. Not ranting online, usually.
