Re: What are your favorite redemption arcs/stories in media?

Arthur Dimmesdale in the Scarlet Letter is a classic redemption, I like it if only because it exemplifies how social redemption is. But I don't actually find it satisfying (as frankly it's meant not to be, lol). Chillingsworth has what I call the Vader redemption, which isn't a redemption at all imo. Hester and Pearl are obviously queens who did 0 wrong.

Beloved has such complex redemptions, I love them.

Simba's redemption in the lion king (I know people will disagree that he had anything to redeem himself for, but I do think the framing of this story is redemptive).

Groundhog Dog is really good example of redemption for small stakes, and Liar Liar is pretty good for comedy.
