I had that happen to me a few months back, but I wrote fic for the most unpopular ship in a dead fandom, so I wasn't expecting much but it was still hard to reconcile throwing it out there and getting nothing back even though it was getting hits.

It does now have a whopping 12 kudos(I'm actually really happy about this don't get me wrong xD), but that first week of silence wasn't easy to deal with even though I knew it wasn't going to get many eyes on it.

I have no idea if your situation is the same, ie: small ship/fandom, but just letting you know it can feel sucky even when you know going in that your fic will get next to no attention. But maybe yours will pick up too!

The fandom is pretty big and still active, but the pairing isn’t popular, so that might be one of the reasons.

Congrats on the twelve kudos though! It’s nice to have even a little acknowledgement. :D
