I didn't understand this at all but in my defense I have never played the game. Genuinely just watched it for one of my favorite actors. My friend tells me it was very accurate, so I'm sorry ya'll won't get a sequel.

You contributed half the box office earnings outside of China!

It was honestly a lot better than I thought it was going to be, game-movies really don't have a good track record, and as a fan of the games I was hoping we'd be able to get to the Arthas story. But alas. I can still watch this one and enjoy it though.

As someone who loves fantasy games and movies but never got into WoW due to disliking the style, I actually quite enjoyed it. I'm not sure if if enjoyed it because I never played the game and so was less nitpicky or if I would have enjoyed it even more if I had been familiar enough with it to pick up on game related stuff though.

I thought the movie is sexist. Also a conventionally attractive main character that is "ugly" in their tribe... not a fan of this trope. Didn't find any male orks hot, just not my type.
I prefer the book tbh but I'm glad OP enjoyed the movie.

The book? What book? the Warcraft movie is based on a video game series.

There are a bunch of Warcraft books. Don't you play video games? You should know every video game series has shitty-ass novels people actually read.

Yeah, there's a book with the movie cover. It's a bit simplistic but fast paced, forgetable but enjoyable.

I don't see how the movie is any more sexist than the source material (which to be fair cam get pretty sexist). Garona has always been a half-orc, and looking more appealing to humans than full orcs has always been a part of her character.

The movie also doesn't especially expect you to find any of the orcs hot, so if orcs aren't your type, I don't know why you would think you should.

The movie isn't more sexist than the material.

The looks... it's just such an old trope.

The hotness factor... just no eye candy for me, that's all.

I only wanted to see it for Travis Fimmel & Paula Patton (and all the fantasy shit) and I still haven't!

I kind of felt that way about Eragon (except it probably wasn't good, i just had a good time because I love fantasy movies that are just having a good time!)

I thought it was pretty good too, I play the game though so I always thought my liking it was probably somewhat biased.

I liked it for all its cheesey fantasy glory, but it was very cheese fantasy, so I sort of get why it failed.

Wow, 5x in theaters? I'm impressed, OP. I have never played the games & don't know much about them, so I waited for the DVD to come out. I enjoyed it! I didn't watch it more than once, but it was definitely a fun watch. I'm sorry they're not doing more movies.
