Oh man, that's so annoying! Why would they even do that, honestly!

If you want $120 and your price is firm, say, "$120. Price firm." If you want $120 but you may be willing to bargain down, say, "$120. Offers welcome." Or something to that effect. Just give the buyer the information they need in order to know whether they're interested!

Maybe they think people are more likely to buy if they've gone out of their way to ask about the price? Personally, I disagree. I think you'll lose a lot of people by not giving them the important info. Also, I'm just not here for manipulative sales tactics.
