I don't feel sorry for him, but I appreciate the show was nuanced enough to understand why he behaved and acted the way he did. His life sucked and was based on a lie, and that's sympathetic, but in the end, he just could not get over his own insecurities and the dogma he and Grace built, and died a pretty awful death for it. And damn, I think that's good storytelling.

I'm still kind of stunned how brutal his death was just because - streaming service or not - you still don't see an onscreen death like his on an all age show.

Book 3 rocked and I'm sad we'll never see its continuation. Book 5 would have had Amelia in the lead? Holy shit, I want this so bad! Maybe comic book adapation? IDW? Dark Horse? Wanna get in on this? I need more.

Yay more Infinity Train secrets! I think all of them have been around Simon so far, so I'll have to think of one not related to him or even Season 3.

I feel sorry for him too, 'cause he did get royally screwed over a lot by life in general, but at the same time, he's responsible for his own choices (especially his murder of Tuba, holy shit what the fuck). Unlike Grace, when he was shown hard evidence that he and the rest of Apex had been wrong all along, he doubled down and refused to bend, and he took his anger out on everyone else (which is sadly not at all uncommon in real life), and ultimately it cost him his life. A lot of his anger was justified, though, and the really sad part is that I do think he could have redeemed himself if he'd lived. I guess that's what ultimately makes his story so tragic, though.

I feel bad for the way he was written. It was as if they were afraid people would like him too much so they had to make him turn evil so they could kill him off without upsetting viewers. Well it backfired, because I that kind of writing doesn't make me hate the character, it makes me mad at the writers.

Also I posted about feeling bad about this like a week ago on my twitter and I hope nobody thinks this secret is mine; I try not to talk about fandom issues I make into secrets because they're not secrets.

SA and more spoilers

*turn eviller. Because he and Grace were both evil until the last minute. No, he did not become more evil when he killed Tuba, he and Grace had been killing Train denizens for years and this kill wasn't worse than the others just because the audience knew the character who was killed this one time.

I think you missed the whole point of s3, specifically Grace and Simon's character arcs.
