Possibly controversial, but Loki. I just don't think they wrote him in a way that fully made sense.

I agree. Originally they wrote him okay, but then they responded to his popularity and changed their plan and how they wrote him became really inconsistent.

No disagreement here from an actual Loki fan if you mean MCU Loki. Marvel has not known what to do with him since 2013 and it shows. Or it's like, nobody can be bothered to put in the effort required to do his dancing over the villain/hero line in a way that was more satisfactory than what we got.

The more recent comics fare better from what I've read but even then there's often a cake and eat it situation with exactly what they want Loki to be. I've read the JiM run, Agent of Asgard and the self-titled series and the latter didn't even really get going before it was binned.
