Yeah, I mean I think Hilary Mantel kind of did Thomas More dirty, but.... that's fine. It's a broadly defensible reading of his character and what seems to have gone down, and she's done a hell of a lot of work to research the period. I don't like it, personally, but she is absolutely entitled to do it that way. Gregory's b.s., on the other hand, infuriates me.
