Hearing the songs individually over time, it seemed fun. But I didn’t realize it was a constant-singathon style musical without any breaks… Maybe growing up on Disney ruined me but I prefer the kind of musical that’s more like a play with songs and not every single word being belted out. Is that called something specific? Like Chicago, Grease, Hairspray, good times. Les Mis, nah, my ear drums get tired.

Yes, same! West Side Story, The Sound of Music -- I like musicals with other things going on than wall to wall songs.

I do enjoy opera though...which is...that. But it's a different animal!

Yes! Same! I hate non-stop singing musicals.
