Because of sexual double standards/misogyny/homophobia basically, as many people see the act of giving oral as submission and the act of a "lesser-than". I mean, according to that school of thought, even when there's two men involved it's only considered "gay" (gay is bad and gay is also feminine in this school of thought) for the one giving the blowjob. And look at guys like DJ Khaled, who say things like "there are different rules for men, and women should praise their men". That is a VERY common attitude among straight men (and there are straight women who also have this attitude). I just want to say, for younger/more inexperienced women reading this, I've never EVER dated a guy who didn't want to go down, so you don't have to put up with a guy who won't if that's what you want.
