2. That sort of thing has happened to me before, or at least the entire class hasn't understood a part of the book just 'cause they're idiots or whatever. Like with The Bluest Eye, GOD DAMMIT.

7. Oh man, I know. IT IS NOT SOMETHING TO BE PROUD of. Don't people understand that it is a bad connotation in Japan? Some kid did that in my Japanese class and he was all pimply and gross and grinning and I was like "DJAIFOEA" and wanted to shower afterward. ;[

Yeah, yeah, it was crap. All of it was crap. ;[ Well, the books weren't (okay, sometimes they were), but these kids could not get fairly simple things through their head when it came to literature. Things are much better at college.
