Honestly I just thought they made the weirdest choices in adaptation. Cutting a bunch of songs and storylines when the original was near-perfect in my mind was a bad move and made me enjoy the movie much less. There were also some choices made with the choreography and camerawork that was... not as strong as it could have been.

I'm blaming the cinematography on John Chu. I don't like his candy color and digital looking style.
