It's your punishment for all the HP fanfics I've had to read that contain the words candy, panty's and color.

Speaking as an American, I would love to see the word panty/panties disappear forever so...solidarity on that one, at least.

Man, you say it enough you get used to it. I used to hate the word. Been working at a company that designs/sells intimate apparel for three years. You lose that reaction after your 30th meeting with a bunch of older men and women talking about the panty sales and panty designs that are going forward.

I also prefer to say tights over pantyhose.

Knickers, specifically for women's underwear

Pants is more generic for underwear

Y-fronts are men's briefs

Vest is an undershirt

Knickers doesn't get used as much anymore. Pants is the general unisex underwear term.
